Choose scene 2, act 1, because, in the description, they said that King Claudius was going to speak in court about his brother’s death. I felt identified since I have a brother, and I would not have the courage to talk in front of anyone if something wrong happens to any of my families, less my brother. I wanted to see how they elaborated that scene. I was curious to know if they put feelings into it.
This is a dark scene, and King Claudius walks slowly towards the front of the camera. At first, everything is cloudy, but later on, they clarify the king’s image. It is not very well understood since literature. But what you can interpret is that the king was jealous and angry with his brother. He says sarcastically that his brother was an excellent king, but on the other hand, he says that it was only two months since he died, meaning that because there had been more. The king seems to be jealous of his brother, who has already passed; he expresses about him coldly. He speaks coldly and with much jealousy of his brother because, in the sentence that says that not a day goes by without seeing his mother’s face, he says it as if the king’s brother was the mother’s favorite. She expresses it with a lot of resentment.
In this scene, they did not put the coronation, nor did they set when they spoke with Halmet to stop burying his father.
This scene gave me to understand that he was going to be a very stubborn, spiteful king.
