The Trip

My family and I have been planning a trip to New Jersey for a year. We wanted to know the north, a new city, and see the snow for the first time. We all had asked for a week off at work for that trip, but we had to spend more time than a week.
It all started on a Monday when we were on our way to the airport; there was a big road accident. First, the accident stopped the traffic for about half an hour, and then the cars began to move but very slowly. We were far from any exit, so my dad couldn’t get off the road and find another way. By the time we got to the next start, we had already lost another half hour. We lost an hour to the airport because of the accident, which caused my dad to drive fast to catch the flight. After the road’s stress and everyone’s anger, we were finally able to get to the airport and get on the plane even though we almost missed the flight. Once everyone was on the plane, we received a call from the captain informing us that the aircraft could not take off because there were some technical problems. They took all the people off the plane to repair the technical failures. It was supposed to do something quickly, but it all took a day. We had to sleep at the airport since we were afraid that something else could happen and we would lose the plane.
Finally, on Tuesday, very early, we took off, and my family and I were well gray. Two hours later we felt turbulence in the air, when we saw the plane it was descending rapidly. The pilot had to make a forced landing; we landed in Atlanta Georgia, My dad decided not to keep waiting, and he rented a car to travel by road. From Georgia to New Jersey is about a 25th-hour drive by road. We decided to rent a hotel first to rest since we were exhausted from the day before. In the end, we spent all of Tuesday in Atlanta between one thing and another, and it was Wednesday that we started driving towards our destination. We ended up arriving Thursday night at the hotel in New Jersey. What we only had was two days to enjoy the state and what we had planned. We wanted to enjoy and visit all the places that we had on our list. So we call our work and ask for more days off. In this way, we enjoyed our trip that we had planned so much and wanted after so many years.
